AMPS CLAMP PLATFORM

Center Cockpit AMPS Platform for Handlebar Riser Clamps.

The GPS Bracket for Handlebar Clamp creates a rock-solid, centered AMPS mounting station directly atop your motorcycle’s existing handlebar clamps. By utilizing the upper clamp pinch bolts, it positions navigation tablets, smartphones, and roadbooks in an ideal line-of-sight orientation without crowding hand controls, mirrors, or switchgear on the handlebar tubing.

The top platform features a universal 30 × 38 mm AMPS hole pattern drilled for M4 hardware, supporting both landscape and portrait device orientations. It is directly compatible with the Carpe Iter Lightweight Holder (via the included M4 adapter plate) as well as third-party GPS cradles.

Bike Compatibility Note: Fits most KTM motorcycles—including both EXC/FE light enduros and larger Adventure models—as well as any motorcycle whose handlebar clamp bolt spacing matches the dimensions shown in the picture gallery.

INCLUDED HARDWARE PACKAGE
  • ■
4× M8 × 40 mm clamp bolts (for direct attachment to handlebar risers)
  • ■
    4× CNC-machined cylindrical stand-offs (mandatory isolation spacers)
  • ■
4× M4 × 14 mm screws (for Lightweight Holder adapter plate)
  • ■
    4× M4 locking nuts
  • ■
    8× M4 flat washers

CRITICAL SAFETY & STAND-OFF NOTICE

The provided CNC-machined stand-offs MUST be installed between the bracket base plate and the handlebar clamp. They ensure the base plate does not press directly flat against the clamp body. Omitting these stand-offs will prevent the mounting screws from properly torquing down, resulting in:

  • (A) Insufficient handlebar clamping tension, allowing handlebars to rotate unexpectedly during riding (severe safety hazard).
  • (B) Structural bending and distortion of the bracket base plate.

Always torque all M8 handlebar clamp bolts to the exact torque specification prescribed by your motorcycle manufacturer before completing the upper assembly.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

STEP 1: INSTALL BASE PLATES & STAND-OFFS

Remove OEM screws from your motorcycle’s handlebar clamp. Disassemble the base plates from the pre-assembled bracket. Install the base plates together with the 4× CNC stand-offs on top of the handlebar clamps using the provided M8×40 bolts. Torque all M8 bolts to your motorcycle manufacturer’s prescribed value (these bolts cannot be easily re-torqued after full assembly).

STEP 2: DETACH UPPER BRACKET CARRIER

Unscrew and remove the top mounting plate from the main bracket riser body to allow access to lower attachment hardware.

STEP 3: SECURE MAIN BODY TO BASE PLATES

Mount the main body of the bracket securely onto the torqued lower base plates using the assembly hardware.

STEP 4: ATTACH HOLDER / CRADLE TO TOP PLATE

Install the Carpe Iter Lightweight Holder (or alternative AMPS cradle) onto the detached top bracket plate using the supplied M4 hardware pack.

STEP 5 & 6: ASSEMBLE, ALIGN & TORQUE

Install the top plate assembly back onto the main bracket body. Align all components, adjust viewing angle to your seated/standing riding posture, and firmly tighten all bracket adjustment fasteners.
