M8 Charging Cable

Factory Replacement M8 Direct Charging Cable Assembly for Carpe Iter Pad

Original replacement M8 charging cable assembly engineered to connect proprietary Carpe Iter power sources directly to the sealed M8 charging port on Carpe Iter Pad navigation tablets.

Rugged, water-sealed power delivery designed for extreme off-road conditions. This assembly features an industrial screw-collar M8 connector that locks securely into the side port of your tablet, ensuring a continuous, vibration-proof electrical connection through heavy washboard tracks, sand, and rain. Designed specifically to mate between the CI Pad (v3, v4, and v4b models) and Carpe Iter 12V-to-5V power supplies. Includes 1× protective tethered dust cap. When installed on a Lightweight Holder, secure the harness using Cable and Connector Brackets to prevent vibration fatigue.

Package Highlights & Setup Details:

  • Direct Tablet Compatibility: Mates directly with Carpe Iter Pad v3, v4, and v4b charging ports.
  • Power Supply Connection: Connects to Carpe Iter proprietary 12V-to-5V step-down power sources.
  • Protective Inclusions: Includes 1× protective water/dust sealing cap to shield the connector when disconnected from the tablet.
  • Mechanical Retention Advisory: Must be secured to the cradle chassis with Cable and Connector Brackets to eliminate strain and vibration damage.

M8 CHARGING CABLE ASSY

Water-Sealed Threaded Direct Power Connection for Carpe Iter Tablets.

The M8 charging cable ASSY provides the direct threaded electrical connection between the motorcycle’s power supply and the Carpe Iter Pad. Designed specifically for off-road environments where standard consumer USB plugs fail from vibration, water ingress, or dust packing, this assembly utilizes an industrial-grade M8 screw-collar connector.

When screwed securely into the tablet’s side port, the integrated O-ring creates an unyielding waterproof seal that prevents intermittent charging disconnects across continuous deep water crossings, mud, and desert washboard tracks.

INSTALLATION & MECHANICAL STRAIN RELIEF
  • ■
Cradle Clamping Required: When mounted on the Lightweight Holder, you must secure the cable using the dedicated Cable and Connector Brackets LH2. Clamping prevents wire whip and eliminates mechanical fatigue at the connector junction.
  • ■
Dual-Path Redundant Charging: On the Active Lightweight Holder, this cable connects alongside the bottom pogo-pin dock to provide simultaneous redundant power feeds for rally racing.
  • ■
Passive Holder Primary Feed: Serves as the primary power connection on the Passive Lightweight Holder.

VOLTAGE SUPPLY PREREQUISITE
* Designed strictly to mate with Carpe Iter proprietary 12V-to-5V power supplies: Black Auto-Switching Power Source or Red Always ON Power Source.
* Never wire directly to raw 12V vehicle battery terminals.
