OBD cable for EURO 5

Standardized EURO 5 (Red 6-Pin) OBD Power & CAN-Bus Telemetry Cable

Universal EURO 5 diagnostic interface cable designed for the Caretta Cradle, providing direct plug-and-play power and digital dashboard data across all EURO 5 compliant motorcycles.

Because the EURO 5 emissions standard established a unified diagnostic connector across manufacturers, this single cable works seamlessly across all brands utilizing the red 6-pin OBD port. Plugs straight into the bike to power the Caretta Cradle and stream live CAN-bus telemetry directly into the Caretta Navigation Kit electronic dashboard.

Key Technical Highlights:

  • Universal EURO 5 Standard: Connects natively to the standardized red 6-pin OBD diagnostic port used across modern motorcycle brands.
  • Live Telemetry & Charging: Supplies operational power to the cradle while transmitting live vehicle bus data to the electronic dash.
  • Broad Cross-Brand Compatibility: Eliminates the need for brand-specific diagnostic cables on EURO 5 generation machines.
  • Chassis Reach: ~1400 mm length allows clean frame-rail routing from under-seat sockets to the front navigation tower.

CARPE ITER OEM

The OBD Cable for EURO 5 Motorcycles provides a direct plug-and-play link between your motorcycle’s factory diagnostic port and the Carpe Iter Caretta Cradle.

Under the EURO 5 emissions and diagnostics mandate, motorcycle manufacturers transitioned to a standardized red 6-pin OBD diagnostic connector (ISO 19689). This single universal cable replaces proprietary legacy connectors across major brands—including KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Ducati.

Beyond supplying clean, ignition-switched 12V operating power to the Caretta Cradle and mounted CI Pad tablet, this harness establishes a high-speed CAN bus data link. This allows real-time engine telemetry and diagnostics—such as RPM, coolant temperature, speed, throttle position, gear indicator, and system voltage—to display directly inside compatible Carpe Iter dashboard and navigation software.

KEY FEATURES
  • ■Standardized EURO 5 Compatibility: Interfaces directly with the red 6-pin diagnostic socket (ISO 19689 standard) found on all EURO 5 compliant motorcycles.
  • ■Simultaneous Power & CAN Bus Telemetry: Supplies 12V DC operating power while streaming live engine sensors directly to your Carpe Iter dashboard apps.
  • ■Universal Multi-Brand Deployment: One cable fits modern KTM/HQV/GASGAS, Yamaha, Honda, Aprilia, Ducati, Suzuki, and Kawasaki models without adapter pigtails.
  • ■Cockpit-to-Subframe Length: Generous 1400 mm length allows clean frame routing from underseat battery/diagnostic trays up to the handlebar or rally tower.

ROUTING & CAN BUS PROTOCOL NOTE
Route cable along factory wiring harnesses away from high-heat exhaust headers and cylinder heads. Telemetry and live electronic dashboard features depend on the bike’s ECU broadcast protocols and active application integration within the Carpe Iter OS environment.
