Caretta Cradle

• ■Smart Power Management: Designed for direct 12V connection with embedded voltage stabilization. It handles electrical spikes and prevents vehicle battery drain via an automatic sleep mode. Integrated reverse polarity, overvoltage, overheat thermal protection, and an auto-reset fuse.
• ■Safety Logic: The connector pins are “live” only when Caretta is inserted and locked. This prevents short circuits if the exposed cradle is hit by water, rain, pressure washing, or stray metal objects when the device is removed.
• ■Quick-Release Blade Connectors: Allows for instant docking—on and off the bike in seconds. Provides a robust connection engineered for brutal terrain, completely eliminating the need for external M8 cables.
• ■Advanced Vibration Isolation: A “free-float” system using high-quality silicone dampers isolates the device mounting points from the chassis, preventing the transfer of high-frequency engine and trail vibrations to internal electronics.

• Controllers: Direct connectivity for external remote controllers (Terrain Command III, Adventure Control) and future hardware accessories.
• OBD Telemetry: Direct cable connection to the bike’s OBD port (no Bluetooth dongle needed) via Carpe Iter Adapter Cables for live dashboard data.
• BMW Motorrad: Plug-and-play operation on BMW models equipped with the socket for BMW Navigator via the Carpe Iter BMW Adaptor Cable, enabling direct Wonderwheel (Multicontroller) inputs.

Compatible with the industry-standard AMPS (30 × 38 mm) hole pattern for M4 screws (AMPS base bracket not included). Includes a universal power cable with an inline fuse box and 6 mm battery loop terminals for direct 12V motorcycle battery connection.

For default landscape orientation, standard AMPS mounting plates, towers, or brackets can be used. For portrait orientation, you need the dedicated Carpe Iter AMPS Base for Caretta, which compensates for the triangular shape of Caretta and the cradle. Directly compatible with Carpe Iter Short Brackets (see the Mounting Solutions section).
